Welcome to Club Fred
Taylor's best friend, Molly planned his perfect vacation. Checking into an all male resort, he and Sergio discover a dead body, which disappears. As Taylor stumbles over it again, the problems have only started in this tropical paradise.
Taylor befriends the hottest male porn star, an angry drag queen, and a mystery novelist, whose new novel is paralleling Taylor's trip. Men are dropping at his feet, dead, and Taylor needs to escape this trip to hell.
Mother Nature has other plans. Now, Taylor must blend in and with the hindrance of Sergio, he'll be in the spotlight for sure. This duo is turning Club Fred into Club Dead.

I have read some of Lance Zarimba's work in the past and was never disappointed. With "Vacation Therapy" I can honestly say the same again. From the first page this book had me hooked, to the point that I could not put it down. The setting of a gay resort for a murder mystery was superb and a straight man being unwittingly thrust into the setting of the gay resort is, in my opinion, the ultimate irony. Taylor, a straight occupational therapist and his friend Sergio, a gay hairdresser make the oddest yet best team of unwitting detectives in this story...As the bodies piled up I was left guessing who the murderer could be, up until the stunning conclusion when Mr. Zarimba ties up all the loose ends.
The story even hints at Stephen King's "The Dark Half" and one of the entries of Mr. King's "The Dark Tower" series. Readers of those books and now "Vacation Therapy" will understand this reviewers comparison where that comment is concerned.
I look forward to Lance Zarimba's next murder mystery...
Keep up the good work Lance...

Vacation Therapy edition by Lance Zarimba Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
From reading the product description one would think this would be another gay mystery. In a way it is. However, it would have been better had the leading character, Taylor, been gay. Instead, the gay roles have been allocated to secondary and supporting characters (all stereotypical). I would not have purchased this book had I known Taylor was not gay. Maybe that is why it is not mentioned in the product description. This is the first in a new series but is my last.
What a fun premise! A straight guy is booked into an island resort only to find out it's a gay resort. And that's not the only surprise - dead bodies start to show up. A very good read and what a perfect beach book. BTW, I'm very familiar with the books from Vacation Therapy's wonderful publisher MLR. I'm thrilled to see the company expanding it's horizons by letting a straight man be the lead character in one of their books. Now if only the straight publishers would be willing to do the same more often!
THe author rocks the reader's world with this tailspin of a mystery. Too much fun. Delightful. Laugh-out-loud with a lot of spirit. The characters elighten the reader on a fun-filled adventure and vacation. Nicely developed. Heatedly entertaining. I can't wait for part 2. Awesome read.
this is a sweet and funny tease...Taylor finds himself on a plane winging his way from South Dakota to Sunny Mexico and Club Fred a gay resort... Taylor is a tease as the question is asked and not answered as to whether or not he is gay... there are no sex scenes in this sort of madcap murder mystery that is by turns scary and funny.
Vacation therapy is a good book for grown ups who like a great mystery story. I would have never guessed who the murder was. Lance Zarimba wrote this book with great throught and input to the story. Loved it.
